The Vanderbilt Microsoft Campus Agreement makes many popular Microsoft products available to students free of charge. Other popular software is available from the Vanderbilt Software Store at significant discounts.
Bring your Restore Media
Please be sure to bring your restore media (CDs/DVDs) for your computer and any other software you purchase for it. If your machine were to get infected with a virus, or malware you will need these disks to get your computer back up and running. If you have already arrived on campus, it is worth having these items mailed to you. Also, be sure to back up your important files regularly and/or store them on a cloud service like Google Docs or Windows Live Skydrive.

Cloud Collaboration and Email
All undergraduate students have access to VU Gmail, Vanderbilt's implementation for Google Apps for Education. Incoming students' email is delivered to VU Gmail by default. Get started using Google Docs.
All students and staff have access to VU Live, Vanderbilt's implementation of Micosoft's Live@edu. VU Live offers many collaborative tools. Undergraduates can also opt-in to using VU Live for email.
