what is this software used for?

These clients allow students to connect to OASIS, Vanderbilt's online course registration system, which requires an e-password for authentication.

You may also use the OASIS secure web applet if you do not wish to install client software on your computer.

This software is for students ONLY. This software will not work for Faculty/Staff access. Faculty/Staff download from here.

(PuTTY v0.55) - Choose Open/Run if prompted.

MacOS X
OS X 10.2.x or later
OS X 10.1.x
If the link(s) above do not begin a download, hold down your mouse button on the link and select "Download Link to Disk..." from the menu that appears.

what version of OS X do I have?

Perform the following to determine your version of the MacOS X:

• from the Apple Menu, select About this Mac, the first selection, (see below)
  
  An MacOS X example
• In the window that appears you will see the OS version information (see below)
  
  An OS X 10.2.6 example

• If your operating system is Mac OS X version 10.2 or greater, use the OS X 10.2.x or later files
• If your operating system is Mac OS X version 10.1 to 10.1.5, use the OS X 10.1.x files
